Will this be the nemesis of the Indian auto? The much used and vilified auto has been a staple in the largest Indian cities for decades and has been to blame for a lot of the confusion in traffic movement.
Well, actually the RE60 is made by the same company that supplies the autos - Bajaj.
The RE60 was showcased at the Delhi auto show 2012 for the first time. The owner Rajiiv Bajaj refuses to describe it as a car, instead just repeatedly stressing that it was a four wheeled drive.
It is expected to take some time before it will be on the road. Just that it is a four wheeled vehicle should be a great relief to Delhi's traffic, who need a break from the autos.
